
Todd Payne
Todd Payne was elected to serve for The City of Warrior in November 2020. He serves as District 2, Place 1 Councilman, and is Chairman of Parks, Rec & Education. Todd also sits as a Co- Chair of the Warrior Police Department, and is on the board for The Boys' and Girls' Club of America. Todd has a background in business management, private airport/airline management, Government military contracts and quality control for fuel testing, and private/corporate aviation.
Todd currently owns and operates two businesses here in Warrior.
In his free time, Todd enjoys spending time with his family,playing with his dogs, and continuing to improve the city in which he loves!
Todd is married to his high school sweetheart Toni, and they have three children.


Chuck Mosley
Councilmen Chuck Mosley is in his 3rd term as Councilor for District 1, Place 3. He has lived in Warrior over 40 years and married to Sherry Tavel Mosley for 40 years. They have two children together and three grandchildren. Councilmen Mosley has been employed at American Cast Iron Pipe Company (ACIPCO) for 44 years in the Finance Division of the Company.
Councilor Mosley currently sits on many Boards throughout the city serving on the Zoning Board, Library Board, Boys & Girls Club of Central Alabama-Warrior Branch. He was also past president of Warrior Youth Association, and Alabama State President of Dizzy Dean Baseball. Currently he collaborates closely with Chief of Police, Scott Praytor as Police Liaison to Mayor Ragland. In addition, he serves as Co-Chair on the Fire Department Committee and Public Works within the City.
His hobbies include working in his garden, playing golf, fishing with his grandson, and playing tea party with his two granddaughters.
Councilmen Mosley has a passion serving Warrior and its citizens, and thanks you for placing your trust in him making Warrior the best it can be.

Jackie Wesson
Jackie Wesson is presently serving her third term as City Councillor, District 2, Place 2, and also serves as Mayor Pro Tem, having been elected initially in 2012. Jackie is the Fire Department Committee Chairperson and additionally serves as a member on the Police Department Committee and on the Health, Human Resources, and Sanitation Committee.
Jackie is an attorney and practices law with her husband, attorney Jon Wesson, at their office in Warrior. In addition, Jackie is a professor of law and has taught at the Birmingham School of Law since 2005. Prior to entering the practice of law, Jackie worked as a Registered Nurse, primarily on the cardiac unit at Princeton Hospital and in the Emergency Room at Callahan Eye Foundation.
Jon and Jackie have been married for just over thirty years, having wed at the home of her parents, Bill and Rena Hudson (now deceased). Jon and Jackie bought the Warrior home Jackie was raised in, a home built by her father. They raised their two children who are now adults in the same home where Jackie grew up.
Jon and Jackie enjoy canoeing and walks in the woods. They have a number of rescue animals and serve as fosters for cats and dogs for local rescues. Jackie’s favorite hobby is beekeeping.


John Tanks
Councilman Tanks first term in office, and he represents District 1 Place 1. Councilman Tanks has lived in warrior for over 20 years and has been married to his wife Erica for 22 years. They have two adult children Jonderic and Azia.
While attending the University of Alabama on a football scholarship, John graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice. Upon graduating, he worked for the Birmingham Police Department for 20 years, assigned to the West Precinct, Burglary, Robbery, and Homicide Units. John was also a supervisor at the North Precinct and Sex Crimes, Assault, Sex Offender, and Homicide Units. Since retiring from Birmingham Police Department, he currently works for Fultondale Police Department.
In his spare time, John enjoys everything outdoors, including hunting, fishing, and helping neighbors.
